The Advocacy Center is an organization that protects the rights of and provides legal assistance to people with mental or physical disabilities and those who are 60 years and older. Its central office is located in New Orleans' Central Business District. From Tuesday to Thursday Sintha and I assist the Advocacy Center with administrative duties and managing clients for the Workforce Incentives Planning and Assistance Coalition (WIPA) and Gustav/Ike Case Management Services. WIPA provides information to people receiving Social Security benefits who are considering returning to work, while the Gustav/Ike Case Management Services connects those affected by Hurricane Gustav/Ike with the resources they are in need of.
